Cannonball Swimwear stands in front of a legacy of fine southern fashion and craftsmanship

Laura Patterson, Designer, grew up dressmaking, as her mother and grandmother did before her. She founded Cannonball Swimwear as a celebration of the hard work and fine craftsmanship her family prides itself on — paired with the modern, adventurous sensibilities of today.

Every Cannonball piece is handmade by Elle in Louisville, Kentucky. She works in small batches, creating one-of-a-kind pieces for women as unique and beautiful as they are. Everything is reversible (two suits in one), designed for active lifestyles and made to actually move in.

Laura is inspired by her travels to India, sunny surf trips to Central America, and yearly pilgrimages to the romantic paradise of Maui. It’s her dream to make inspiring swimwear that reflects a passion for good living and fine quality — and certainly her wish for you, that you love your body in all that you wear.
